Sam Perches was born in Kent, England, and spent time in Mexico and Los Angeles, before settling in Bath, England. A graduate of the City of Bath School of Art & Design and winner of the prestigious Tate Gallery Young Artist Award, he gained valuable field experience working as an art-director on photographic assignments and as a location scouting assistant in the film industry. Most notably with Pinewood Studios and Australia’s Matt Carroll Films, where he worked as an assistant director.

In 2001, Sam left England to pursue work in Los Angeles where he began a career in corporate and commercial filmmaking. After two years in L.A he ultimately found himself in Los Cabos, Mexico. It was in Los Cabos that Sam started the production company Origin Film Company. Although the company is now based in Los Cabos, Origin Film Company still maintains its ties to U.S based companies and continues to serve international clients.
